Born and raised in Nanaimo, George Anderson is a commercial lawyer, a volunteer, and the youngest person ever elected to Nanaimo City Council.

He has served as Chair of the Vancouver Island University Board of Governors, and volunteered with the Canadian Bar Association’s Access to Justice Committee, Literacy Central Vancouver Island, the Nanaimo-Ladysmith Public Schools Foundation, among many other organization dedicated to making his community stronger.

His dedication to community service earned him the distinction for citizenship from the Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce, as well as the BC Achievement Award from the Lieutenant-Governor of BC in 2016.

George has an unwavering commitment to fairness and community development. He is ready to take action so people in Nanaimo-Lantzville can build good lives.
